Requirements of registered Blessed Sacrament Parishioners for infant baptism are: 1. The marriage must have been witnessed by a Catholic Priest. 2. Attend a Parish Baptism Class. 3. Contact Blessed Sacrament Pastor 3 months prior to Baptism. For permission of baptism to take place at another parish, the above requirements must be met along with a letter from the Pastor.
Marriage Couples contemplating marriage must call the Parish Office for an appointment at least SIX MONTHS IN ADVANCE. To assure your date, call 1 year in advance of your wedding date. The diocesan guidelines including Pre-Cana Conference must be fulfilled. It is presumed that, for the marriage to be celebrated in the Church, one of the partners is a practicing member of the Roman Catholic tradition.
Confirmation High School students who have completed 8th grade religious education are eligible. Group meets 2-3 times a month on Sundays 11:45-1:15pm to prepare for the sacrament through lecture, small group discussion, activities, retreats, and service projects. See "Religious Education" for more information.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
The Anointing of the Sick Any parishioners suffering from a debilitating physical or emotional illness or persons who struggle with the infirmities of life brought on by the aging process are invited to celebrate the strengthening power of the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. One does not have to be in danger of death. Those scheduled for a surgery or a serious hospital stay may wish to request this sacrament prior to entering the hospital. Once a year, commonly in early December, there will be a common celebration of the Sacrament of Anointing. In the case of death, although the Church does not anoint one who has already died, a member of the pastoral staff may be invited to minister to the family and lead them in prayer.
