The Parish Counselor assists the Pastor in the specific ministries of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament that require specialized knowledge in the field of mental health. The focus is on particular healing care for marriages, families, and children.

Our Parish Counselor is also able to conduct couple counseling for marriage preparation to include, but not limited to the Kersey-Bates Temperament inventory and Family Systems analysis.

Did you know that counseling services are available at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament?

One interesting dilemma that I have encountered as a parish counselor at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament is parishioners’ reluctance to seek counseling despite their being under a tremendous amount of stress. I like to remind parishioners that the ministry of the staff and myself is to be of service to the parishioners. My particular ministry is to be of service as a professional counselor to help parishioners through the everyday struggles of life. Counseling services are available (at no cost for up to six sessions) for registered parishioners. If you have any questions concerning seeking counseling services for yourself or your family, please do not hesitate to contact me through the church office.

Sincerely,

Liza Simental-Rudloph, Ph.D.
